You and your friends will not want to miss this year’s East Central Ilinois Shop Hop with 13 area quilt shops and the 6th. Annual Quilt Show sponsored by the Oblong Community Service Club. We've made some changes that will add excitement to this years shop hop.

You and your friends will not want to miss this year's East Central Illinois Shop Hop with 12 area quilt shops and the Quilt Celebration at Rockome Gardens. We've made some changes that will add excitement to this year's shop hop experience and make it the best yet!

Don't forget about the addition of the new Jr. Passport for our next generation of quilter. These passports will be available for the under age 16 quilter and will be available for $5.00. Jr. Passport holders will have a separate drawing from completed passports with the Grand Prize being a sewing machine donated by Pffaf.

Hoppers can purchase multiple passports for friends and family before shop hop, but we will only validate one passport per person per visit. No one will be able to bring several passports to be validated for any reason. If passports are pre-paid they will be able to pick up the pre-paid kits, however those passports will not be validated.

At each shop you get your passport validated, a goodie bag, a chance for a door prize, a quilt block pattern and register for a $25 gift certificate. Each shop will have a different Quest For A Cure quilt block kit available for $5.50 with fabric from Northcott Silk /Monarch's Quest For A Cure fabric line. The Quilt Celebration at Rockome Gardens will have the finishing directions to incorporate the 12 quilt blocks into a quilt designed by the Shop Hop committee. Many shops are going to prepare alternative settings to stimulate your creativity. You'll have the opportunity to see several different ways to set the same 12 blocks into quilts.

Please Note:
Additional fabric will be needed to finish your quilt, which can be purchased at each shop. The shops will also offer finishing kits of their own version of the Quest For A Cure Quilt. A portion of the sales of the Quest For A Cure quilt blocks will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Due to the strong demand for the Quest For A Cure quilt block kits in past years, a pre-pay of $66 will reserve all 12 kits and a silk screened commemorative quilt label for the back of your quilt. To assure receiving all 12 kits, a pre-pay of $66 for the kits and $5.00 for your passport (total of $71.00) must be made before May 31, 2008, at any participating shop. During the Shop Hop only, you'll pick-up your pre-paid kits at each shop when your passport is validated. After the Shop Hop, you'll not be assured your kits.

The Quest For A Cure quilt made by the 12 shops will be on display at the Quilt Celebration at Rockome Gardens,
